If you’re looking for a card to reward you for spending heavily on dining out, food delivery and takeout that doesn’t charge an annual fee, the U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card fits the bill. Plus, there’s a fairly generous sign-up bonus for new cardholders as well as an intro APR for a year on purchases and balance transfers.

The Bottom Line

The generous cashback rate on dining out/takeout combined with its generous intro APR offers for both purchases and balance transfers, and sign-up bonus make the U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card a compelling choice to add to your wallet, especially since all these benefits come with a $0 annual fee.

The Good

U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card members can Earn 20,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 in eligible purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. The points can be redeemed for cash back, gift cards, travel and merchandise. The ongoing rewards program allows cardholders to Earn 4X points on dining, takeout, and restaurant delivery, 2X points at grocery stores, grocery delivery, gas stations, EV charging stations and on streaming services. Plus, a $15 credit for annual streaming purchases like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify®, Apple Music, Disney+, HBO Max and more! And earn 1X points on all other eligible purchases.

In addition, if you need to finance a large purchase or transfer a balance from another card to save on interest charges, the U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card offers an intro APR of 0% for 12 billing cycles on purchases (then 17.24% - 26.24% (Variable)) as well as a 0% for 12 billing cycles on balance transfers. After that, an APR of 17.24% - 26.24% (Variable) will apply to any unpaid portion of the balance.

Finally, cardholders are provided with an automatic statement credit of $15 per year after 11 months of consecutive months of streaming-service purchases made with the card, including Netflix, Hulu, Apple Music, Spotify and more.

The Not so Good

For a card with a $0 annual fee, the U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card has much to offer, especially if you eat out or order in a lot. However, if you tend to cook at home more, then you may want to consider a card that offers a higher cashback rewards rate for grocery shopping.
