The Chase Freedom Unlimited® card is the latest addition to Chase's already robust list of rewards credit cards. With this card, you can enjoy 5% cash back on travel purchased through chase ultimate rewards®, our premier rewards program that lets you redeem rewards for cash back, travel, gift cards and more; 3% cash back on drugstore purchases and dining at restaurants, including takeout and eligible delivery service, and 1.5% on all other purchases. Your cash back earnings are automatic, so you don't have to worry about signing up or enrolling in any special bonus programs. As a welcome bonus to new cardholders, you can earn an extra 1.5% on everything you buy (on up to $20,000 spent in the first year) — worth up to $300 cash back. that’s 6.5% on travel purchased through chase ultimate rewards®, 4.5% on dining and drugstores, and 3% on all other purchases.
There is also no annual fee with this credit card, so you can earn rewards without having to ever pay a membership fee. Another perk of the rewards program is that you don't have to wait until you've accumulated a certain amount of cash back before you can redeem your rewards; you can redeem your cash back for any amount, anytime.

The Good
The sign up bonus for this card is higher than most cash back cards, and you'll also earn a better than average rewards rate on all purchases.
The Not so Good
The ongoing APR is a little higher than normal, so it's best to avoid carrying a balance with this credit card. Also, there is a foreign exchange fee of 3% of each transaction in U.S. dollars, so you may want to refrain from using this card overseas.
